In the lost time circle of popular music from the 80s of the unforgettable Space Synth genre music, it is difficult to always go back to the beginning and invent new riffs, and build a new song. In my opinion, this is a very significant music that led me to the world of electronic music. The spark that lit that fuse in me was a song of exactly that type of genre, Koto - Jabdah (Italo Disco) Space Synth. Since then, until today, I have been listening to electronic music that has built me ​​into what I am today. I try to maintain a recognizable style, but in which I have incorporated various elements of musical structures but in a new musical spirit. I try to dress the songs in the time they belonged to, production and technology, while maintaining as much as possible this timeless musical genre. This track is minimal, has its own story which is in that genre. Enjoy!

I've said here before that, for me, drums and bass are the key elements that define a style, so it's worth being very careful when experimenting with them, otherwise it's easy to drift into, say, synthwave or trance. The sound can be modernized and new touches can be added, but if the rhythm section strays too far from the canon, the feel of the style changes as well. IMHO

I agree that there is usually a trap that takes you in an unexpected and wrong direction. That is exactly the reason that this type of music finds its place in the time we live in, to refresh and improve like all other musical styles. Juno bass lines are already boring, as are the toms and everything else.
The new sounds have progressed, the layers have taken on simplicity and improved the old sounds. There are exactly those differences that are heard immediately. If there is no "BELLS" in the song, it is not SPACE synth, and so everything goes back to the beginning. There is no progress.

But it’s perfectly possible to keep a recognizable rhythm section and those characteristic spacesynth timbres, while writing more interesting, complex, non-standard melodies, playing with harmony and structure, and refreshing the sound through careful modern production rather than by changing the genre. In that case the style itself stays the same, but the musical language within it becomes richer.
I’m speaking purely as a listener and a fan of the classic LD sound, so this is just my subjective opinion.

It’s my favourite work of yours, and I come back to it very often.
